Camp Daniel Boone offers over 70 classes and Activities across 14 different program areas, from Climbing at the Rock, to Range and Target Activities, to STEM Programs like Nuclear Science!
C.O.P.E. and Climbing
Reach new heights!
The ROCK, our natural rock climbing area, and our TREETOPS C.O.P.E. Course provide fun challenges Scouts!
Activities offered:
- Climbing Merit Badge
- Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience – (C.O.P.E.)
- Open Climb and C.O.P.E. (Select Evenings and Friday Afternoons)
Ecology
Whether into insects or Reptiles or just nature more generally, our Ecology Program offers a variety of Fun, engrossing Merit Badges, such as:
- Nature
- Reptiles and Amphibians Study,
- Environmental Science
- Oceanography

Goin' Great
Our first year Camper Program helps guarantee that scouts GO-IN with a GREAT time!
In this program area, scouts work on their key scout skills, engage with the patrol method, and meet scouts from all over the country!
Goin Great constits of two Sections:
- Goin Great Junior – Primarily works on Scout and Tenderfoot Skills!
- Goin Great Senior – Works on Skills Second Class through First Class!
Handicraft
Our Handicrafts department provides scouts with a variety of Hands on, Creativity Focused merit badges, Including:
- Animation
- Art
- Sculpture
- Leatherwork
- Woodcarving

Leadership
Our Leadership Area provides Merit Badges that focus on Citizenship, Leadership and Personal Growth, such as:

From knot-tying to whittling, our Scoutcraft Area teaches the skills based Merit Badges used throughout Scouting’s adventures! These include:

Range and Target Activities
We offer a wide variety of Range and Target Activities, both as Merit Badges, and as Open Programs, including;

A plethora of Adult Leader Competitions are also held throughout the week, so you once and for all prove who has the best shot!
S.T.E.M.
Our S.T.E.M. Department offers a variety of Science and Technology focused merit badges! These include:

Stockton Farms
Earn the Horsemanship, and/or Animal Science Merit Badges on a Real, Working Farm!
Located just 15 minites away from Camp Daniel Boone, Stockton Farms provides a unique opertunity for Scouts to earn these meritbadges during evening program time!
Cost is $100 per class or $175 to take both!
